The 2nd Annual Boston Chess Congress will be held from January 10-12, 2014, at the Hyatt Harborside at Logan Airport, 101 Harborside Dr, Boston, Massachusetts.
The event has 6 sections: Premier, Under 2100, Under 1900, Under 1700, Under 1500 and Under 1300. All sections have either 3-day (January 10-12) or 2-day (January 11-12) schedules to play in.
Last year winner of the Premier section was GM Li Chao.
The event has a $12,000 prize fund, based on 220 entries, with $8,000 minimum guaranteed.
Premier Section: Open to 2000/over or players with USCF life titles of First Category or over. Prizes $1000-500-300-200, clear or tiebreak 1st $100 bonus, top Under 2300 $600-300. FIDE rated.
Under 2100 Section: Prizes $800-400-300-200
Under 1900 Section: Prizes $800-400-300-200
Under 1700 Section: Prizes $800-400-300-200
Under 1500 Section: Prizes $700-400-300-200
Under 1300 Section: Prizes $400-250-150-100
