The European Team Chess Championship 2025 will be held in Batumi, Georgia, from 4 to 15 October 2025. The event is the most important team competition in the European Chess Calendar, part of The Chess Calendar
After the technical meeting, the team pairings are now published. In the open section the top seeded team of Germany starts against Denmark. The Netherlands will play vs Bulgaria, while Hungary will meet the host Georgia.
In the women section Georgia 1 and Georgia 2 will play in the first round. Poland will start against Italy, Ukraine vs Austria, and the defending champions from Bulgaria against Czech republic.
