European School Chess Championship 2025

The European School Chess Championship 2025 takes place May 30 – June 7 in Mamaia, Romania.

The event is played in 6 age categories: U7, U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17, open and girls sections separately. Each tournament will be played in 9 rounds, with the time control of 90 minutes with an increment of 30 seconds per move, starting from move one.

The Championship gathers 139 players coming from 13 European federations who will compete for the title of the European School Chess Champion in the respective age category. The top seeds are: U7 – Victor Bojica (ROU, 1479), GU7 – Andrea Bjork Andradottir (ISL), U9 – Adam-Alexandru Mihai (ROU, 1781), GU9 – Lile Svanadze (GEO, 1613), U11 – CM Ali Poyraz Uzdemir (TUR, 2108), GU11 – WCM Lila Rzadkowska (POL, 1917), U13 – Davit Tatvidze (GEO, 2117), GU13 – Kaja Rzadkowska (POL, 2002), U15 – Erekle Tabatadze (GEO, 2189), GU15 – WCM Ariana Badica (ROU, 1929), U17 – Christian-Arrydan Tamas (ROU, 2219) and GU17 – Hena Karadas (TUR, 1903).
