The 2014 Pacific Southwest Open was held on 4-6th July at the Radisson LAX, 6225 West Century Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90045, USA.
The tournament format was 6-round Swiss with time control 40/2, SD/1, d/5, in four sections – Open, Premier (under 2000), Amateur (Under 1800) and Reserve-Booster (Under 1600/unrated).
The Open section had 46 players. GM Enrico Sevillano emerged sole winner with 5,0/6 points.
The Premier section had 21 participants. Pranav Anjani Narnur and Jack Richard Easton shared the top prize with 4,5 points each.
The Amateur section had 18 players. Gordon McNeill was convincing with 5,5 points.
The combined Reserve-Booster section had 23 players. Andy Johnson and Alex Silvestre were joint winners with 5,0 points each.
