Festival Internazionale di Scacchii Grand Hotel Adriatico is going to take place 9-15 September in Italy. The event is a 9 round Swiss and players are divided into four different groups. The top group of Grand Hotel Adriatico Chess Festival is Open A with Daniel Alsina Leal, Arkadij Rotstein, Mark Van Der Werf, Valerio Carnicelli, Blazimir Kovacevic, Konstantin Kavutskiy, Zhiulien Oleksii Kalosha, Stefan Djuric, Corentin Schmuck, etc. Scroll down for the full participants list.
The event is organized by A.S.D. Circolo Scacchi R. Fischer Chieti and tournament director is Andrea Rebeggiani, with IA Giuseppe Buonocore as chief arbiter. The tournament in Italy is one of the few events in September with stronger participation, as most top Grandmasters will be participating in the Chess Olympiad 2024.
