The Indian chess Grandmaster Guha Mitrabha is the new chess king of Australia. After winning the O2C Doeberl Chess 2025, now Guha Mitrabha conquered Sydney Open in the same month of April. GM Mitrabha finished with 7,5/9 at sole first, half a point ahead of silver medalist IM Ronald Dableo (Philippines). The bronze medal is for Sayantan Das (India). Top woman of the event is Anna-Maja Kazarian (Netherlands) with 5,0/9.
