All eyes of the top Grandmasters, professional players, and computer engineers are fixed today on a very important encounter – the new Komodo chess engine is in action at TCEC and its performance will determine whether this engine will be the “weapon of choice” when it comes to preparation.
The first two games for Komodo were with black and it scored 1,5/2, a good start with very stable and human-like play. Today is the first game of Komodo with the white pieces and the dragon is expected to show teeth. Its opponent is the 2900+ ELO Texel. Live with engine graphs here
The game is expected to start after 21:00 CET and is also featured an the 2500 usd prize prediction race. The second part of the leaderboard started this week and extends until after the end of Carlsen – Anand 2014, including multiple prizes for the top 50 chess predictors. Join the race here
