The traditional chess open Open Internacional Escacs Barbera del Valles is going to take place July 4 – July 12 in Barbera del Valles, Barcelona, Spain. It is the 47th edition of the tournament, making it one of the long standing events on the Iberian Peninsula. Top seeded participants are GM Manuel Petrosyan (2541), GM Jaime Alexander Cuartas (2521), GM Karen H. Grigoryan (2520), GM Dylan Isidro Berdayes Ason (2488), GM Daniel Alsina Leal (2487), GM Luis Lazaro Aguero Jimenez (2483).
