13-year old Vincent Keymer who is coached by Peter Leko, beats Richard Rapport in the last round and wins the Grenke Chess Open with 8.0 points from nine games. The German junior hope started as No. 100 of the seedling list and left more than 50 grandmasters behind. Keymer qualified for the Grenke Chess Classic 2019.
