Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. It is a 12-player round-robin tournament with participation of Hjorvar Steinn Gretarsson, Hannes Stefansson, Henrik Danielsen, Vignir Vatnar Stefansson, Johann Hjartarson, Bragi Thorfinnsson, Gudmundur Kjartansson, Hilmir Freyr Heimisson, Dagur Ragnarsson, Aleksandr Domalchuk-Jonasson, Lenka Ptacnikova and Johann Ingvason.
