The 2022 European Blitz Chess Championship was played today in Katowice, Poland, with more than 800 players in the field.

The Malmö Open | Swedish Grand Prix is taking place from 16-18 December. The tournament is part of the Swedish Gran Prix. The first four rounds are played with a time control of 15 minutes for the entire game plus 5-second increment per move starting from move 1.

The 4th Chess Academy Almaty IM is taking place from 16–23 December 2022 in Almaty. Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 15 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. It is a 10-player round-robin tournament with participation of Nikolay Averin, Muhammad Khusenkhojaev, Sanzhar Ashirov, Sergei Yudin, Rustam Khusnutdinov, Mark Smirnov, Artur Chibukhchian, Artyom Bogdanov, Artur Gabrielian and Bakhtiyar Askarov.

European Blitz Chess Championship 2022 is taking place in Katowice, Poland. Open and Women’s sections are merged, with separate prizes for the best ranked female players. The event is played in 11 double rounds, swiss system, with the time control: 3 minutes + 2 seconds increment. More than 800 players participate in the event.

The European Open and Women Rapid & Blitz Chess Championships 2022 will kick off tomorrow in Katowice, Poland. The events will be played from 16th-19th December in “Spodek” Sport and Entertainment Centre and everything is set for the start of one of the biggest European events in the 2022 Calendar! More than 1000 players from 40 countries will compete for the European Throne.

The 85th edition of the Tata Steel Chess Masters will take place from 13-29 January in Wijk aan Zee. The event features 14 grandmasters competing in a 13-round round-robin tournament.
