The Swedish Elite League 2015/2016 is taking place from November 6, 2015, to March 20, 2016.

The teams of SK Burgsvik Alva, SK Eksjo, SK Farsta, Kungstornet, SK Limhamns, ASK Lunds, SS Manhem, SK Rockaden Stockholm, SK Team Viking and SK Vasteras are vying in a round-robin format in 9 rounds.

American chess is getting stronger and is on the rise.

The 10th Annual Svetozar Gligoric Transatlantic Cup, a traditional match between the University of Texas at Dallas and the University of Belgrade, will be held on 6th November from 20:00 CET on the Internet Chess Club (ICC).

The final round of the FIDE World Youth & Cadets Championship 2015 was played today in Porto Carras, Halkidiki.

The players from India dominated the event, winning as many as 11 medals, among them 5 gold. Russia and USA took 4 medals each, but none of them was gold. Iran, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Germany, Greece, Uzbekistan and Vietnam have one gold medal each. Full list of the winners below.
