The Sinquefield Cup 2025, the fifth and final event of the Grand Chess Tour (GCT) 2025, is held from August 18 to August 28, 2025, at the Saint Louis Chess Club in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. It’s a 10-player single round-robin tournament with a classical time control of 90 minutes for forty minutes, plus 30 minutes for the rest of the game plus a 30-second increment per move.

Magnus Carlsen, the five-time World Chess Champion and a global ambassador for the Esports World Cup, is confirmed as a speaker at the New Global Sport Conference 2025 (NGSC 2025). The event will take place on August 23 – 24, 2025, at the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh during the Closing Weekend of the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Organized by the Vietnam Chess Federation, the Happy Chess Project is dedicated to supporting orphans, children with disabilities, and those in difficult circumstances living in shelters and SOS villages across Vietnam. Across its first three seasons, the program has reached hundreds of children in provinces such as Ho Chi Minh City, Bà Rịa–Vũng Tàu, and Long Thành—bringing meaningful learning and play through chess.
