The 14th European Youth Rapid Team Chess Championship is organized by the European Chess Union and Estonian Chess Federation on 12-17th November 2014 at the Meriton Grand Conference & Spa Hotel Conference Centre in Tallinn, the capital and largest city of Estonia.

The first weekend of November was dedicated to the promotion of the sport at multiple levels, which gathered a large audience of curious chess fans, but also families who were able to spend time together and experience the beauty of the mind sport that chess is.

Chess is all in one, a sport, an art, a science and a discipline that is capable of bringing together different people of various playing strengths. And if young people think of this event as one of the most amazing places in the city…you’ve succeeded!

The WALTON Home Appliance Premier Division Chess League-2014 is taking place on 12-20th November 2014 at the Media Center of Bangladesh Olympic Association in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Concurrently with the FIDE World Championship Match between Magnus Carlsen and Viswanathan Anand, the Russian Chess Federation will hold Mikhail Tal Memorial on 13-14th November in Sochi.

Mikhail Tal Memorial will be a 12-player double round robin tournament with the time control 4′+2”.

Hungary abounds with chess tournaments of all kind – for amateurs, professionals, closed ones specifically designed for norms and many other forms of chess promotion.

The Budapest Open, accompanied with GM and IM tournaments, since its inception, five years ago, is getting in popularity and international acclaim.

As IM Eric Kislik (USA) says: ‘I like to play in the Sarkany GM tournament every year because it is one of the strongest events in Hungary.’
