Jose Martinez Alcantara, Donchenko, Esipenko and Shankland are at the FIDE World Chess Cup quarterfinal

The FIDE World Chess Cup 2025 is taking place October 30 – November 27 in India. It will features 206 players in 8 knockout rounds of classical games. Each round consists of two classical games, followed by rapid and blitz tiebreaks if necessary. The competition will span nearly a month, with rest days scheduled between key stages to accommodate the intense match schedule.

European Small Nations Team Chess Championship 2025

The 9th edition of the European Small Nations Team Chess Championship starts this week in Larnaca, Cyprus, and will be held from 14th-23rd November in the Sun Hall Hotel.

The event gathers 10 teams from Andorra, Cyprus, Faroe Islands, Guernsey, Jersey, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco and San Marino, and each team consists of four players + one reserve player.

2025 UK Open Blitz Women’s Final

The 2025 UK Blitz Final will take place on November 22  in England. This tournament has 2 categories – Open and Women. The Women’s section is a 16-player round-robin tournament with a time control of 3 min + 2 sec/move.
