Results – Chess Olympiad 2022 round 7 (open section)

After escaping from a loss against USA, Armenia maintained the sole lead in the 2022 Chess Olympiad scoring 13 match points. Uzbekistan, India 2, India, USA, Germany and Kazakhstan are in a tie for the second place, with 12 match points each. Replay all matches from the Open section here

After seven played rounds at the 44th Chess Olympiad 2022 India’s women’s team is the only one remaining with the perfect score and all 7 won matches. India has 14 match points and a 2-match-point advantage over Ukraine, Armenia and Georgia who tie for the second place.

The thrilling top-board match between the leaders of the Open section Armenia and USA finished in a draw with the 2-2 result. The USA team had a lead and a great chance to score against Armenia, but it wasn’t meant to be.

Carlsen and Firouzja top FTX Crypto Cup line-up
