Anna Cramling reveals what would she do if she wasn’t a chess player

Giving a post-game interview after third round at the Women’s Chess Olympiad, the famous chess streamer Anna Cramling didn’t speak about her loss. Instead, she explained how it looks to live with the “chess parents” and revealed what would she do if she wasn’t a chess player. Being asked that question Anna got confused for a moment, but then explained: “I think I would probably do YouTube and streaming, but with something else.

The fourth round of the 2022 Chennai Chess Olympiad began this afternoon with the traditional first-move, performed on this occasion on board one of the Women’s India-Hungary match by the managing director of Microsense, Mr. S. Kailasanathan.

44th Chess Olympiad 2022 – Round 5 pairings

After four played rounds at the 44th Chess Olympiad 2022 only five teams kept the winning strike in Open section with perfect 8 match points. India2, Armenia, Israel, England and Spain tie for the top, while USA, India, Azerbaijan and nine other teams score 7 match points. The Women’s section teams suffered fewer upsets than the teams of the Open event. Azerbaijan, Poland, Ukraine, India, France, India 2, Georgia and Romania emerged on the top with a maximum score of 8 match points.

IM Lela Javakhishvili scores an important win for Georgia defeating WIM Varshini Sanithi in 12 moves!

Georgian Women’s team today meets with India3 on the third board of the Women’s section. Both teams seek for an important R4 victory which would emerge them on the top, and IM Lela Javakhishvili was the first one to score for her team today. Javakhishvili defeated WIM Varshini Sanithi after only 12 moves of play, outplaying her opponent in the opening. Replay the game here

The ceremonial first move of the 2022 Chess Olympiad Round 4

The fourth round of the 2022 Chess Olympiad in Chennai has started bringing interesting encounters between the leaders. Only 20 teams emerged on the top of the Open section with a maximum of 6 match points, and 19 teams are tying for the top of the Women’s section with the same score.
