The new title tournament for young talents, Stockholm Chess Challenge 2016, was organized in Kista, Stockholm, from 8th to 13th of March.

The event was a 9-round Swiss invitational tournament open to titled players at the age of 25 years old or younger. A total of 16 participants from Belarus, Canada, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden and Ukraine, took part at the first edition of the tournament.

The 2016 edition of the Chebanenko Memorial was held from 11-12 March in Chisinau, Moldova.

The event was a 9-round Swiss rapid chess tournament dedicated to the memory of Moldovian player Vecheslav Chebanenko.

The Uzbekistan Chess Federation on behalf of Asian Chess Federation and FIDE, invites your Federation to participate in the Asian Continental Chess Championships (Open and Women’s) from 25 May – 5 June 2016 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Each Federation from FIDE Zones 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6 and 3.7 can enter one official player in the Open and one official player in the Women’s Division.

The UT Dallas Spring Break 2016 is going to take place in The Embassy Suites Dallas – Park Central. It is a 10-Round Scheveningen System where each member of UT Dallas Team plays each member of the USA Junior All-Stars Team twice. The time control is 90 min + 30 sec increment.

The 2016 edition of the Chebanenko Memorial will take place 11-12 March. The organizers have kindly setup two digital boards and top games will be live on Chessdom.com with analysis by the TCEC champions Komodo, Stockfish, and Houdini.

Top players include GM Sergei Zhigalko, GM Ilia Smirin, GM Kirill Stupak, GM Viorel Iordachescu, and a total of 35 titled players.
