Team Géniusz SE claim the title at the Hungarian Youth Team Chess Championship 2024. With a score of 29 points in 7 rounds of play, the team of 8 – Balazs Pasztor, Tran Nam Giang, Gabor Szabo-Toth, Daniel Sinoros-Szabo, Reka Kovacs, Mark Vancsisin and David Meszaros-Csonka – scored more than team Aquaréna Kőbánya SC who accrued 28 points for second place and team MTK I., who came in third with a total of 26.5 points. At the conclusion of the Campeonato Centroamericano y del Caribe Chess 2024 Absoluto, it was IM Carlos A. Juarez Flores who emerged victorious. He achieved 8 points in 9 rounds of play, ahead of second place Edgardo J. Almedina Ortiz with 7 points and third place Jorge Luis Sanchez Manzanares. The top performing woman in the competition was Dalila Yamileth Barahona who scored 5.5 points for a 1th place finish.

The Trofeo Cigüeña de Plata or Alfaro Chess Open 2024 Silver Stork Trophy is scheduled from October 31 to November 3 in the city of Alfaro, La Rioja, Spain. The tournament features 127 players who compete in 7 rounds Swiss. The top players at the event include David Larino Nieto, Ibragim S.
