The Jerusalem Chess Open will take place parallel to Jerusalem Masters 2024 and the record 1000 games simul. It is a 309 players tournament with 61 titled players, of which 12 GMs and 19 IMs.

A total of 160 players competed in the event. Top woman of the event is WFM Svenja Butenandt with 5,5/9.

The German Women Rapid Chess Championship 2024 – Deutsche Schnellschachmeisterschaft der Frauen – is going to take place 12-13 October, as part of the German Rapid Chess Festival. It will be hosted by Brackwed chess club and the games will take place at Ravensberger Spinnerei, Ravensberger Park 1, 33607 Bielefeld. The time control is 15 min + 10 sec and a total of nine rounds will be played.

Registration continues, so far 249 players have signed up for the event.
