Leela Chess Zero wins TCEC Swiss 7

Leela Chess Zero is the winner of the TCEC Swiss 7, the first event of the Top Chess Engine Championship season. Leela Chess Zero entered as defending Swiss champion finished a point ahead of Stockfish 17 and two points ahead of bronze medalist Ceres in the event dubbed as the strongest in computer chess history.

The teams of India won double gold at the Chess Olympiad 2024. The open team – Arjun Erigaisi, Gukesh D, Praggnanandhaa, Vidit Santosh Gujrathi, and Pentala Harikrishna – were captained by Srinath Narayanan. Tsaghkadzor Chess Open 2024

Chess Academy of Armenia together with “Royale Signature” LLC and the Chess Academy Club, is organizing Tsaghkadzor Open International Chess Tournament from September 30 to October 6 , 2024 at “Eighty Eight Hotel and Spa” in Tsaghkadzor (Tandzaghbyur 34/1, Kotayk region, Republic of Armenia).

Tsaghkadzor Chess Open is a classical Swiss tournament with time control 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, plus 15 minutes till the end of the game with 30 seconds increment starting from move one.

L’espoir win Japan Team Chess Championship 2024

The team of L’espoir – FM Mirai Aoshima, CM Kan Nakahara, Cocoro Matsumura and Kohei Yonemitsu – are Japan Team Chess Champions. They won the 2024 edition of the competition with perfect team score 6,0/6 in strong competition with 54 teams.

European Corporate Chess Championship 2024

The European Corporate Chess Championship 2024 is organised by the Asnières Le Grand Échiquier club under the patronage of the European Chess Union. The event will take place in Asnières-sur-Seine on 22 and 23 November 2024.

CCT 2024 in Oslo – participants

The final of the Champions Chess Tour 2024 is in Oslo. The event will take place December 17-21, right before the World Rapid and Blitz Chess 2024.

The top 8 players from this year’s CCT will face off with in live games with audience, after 4 qualification events.

Asturias Individual Chess Championship

The Asturias Individual Chess ChampionshipCampeonato Individual de Asturias de Ajedrez – takes place in Marieva Palace Gijón. Playing dates are September 28 , October 5, 12, 19 and November 9, 16, 23, 30.
