Abhi Mishra and Zhou Jianchao share first at Washington International Chess

Abhi Mishra and Zhou Jianchao and the winners of the 2024 edition of the Washington International Chess. They both scored 7,0/9 and with equal tiebreak share the first prize.

The third position is also shared between Grandmasters John Michael Burke, Fidel Corales Jimenez, and David Brodsky.

Among the top youngsters of the event are IM Alice Lee with 5,5/9 and FM Tanitoluwa Adewumi

3rd International Open Chess Championship of Central Serbia 2024

From August 17th to 24th 2024, the Chess Federation of Central Serbia is organizing the 3rd
International Open Chess Championship of Central Serbia 2024 The tournament will be held at the “Marica” hotel at Nis, Republic of Serbia.

The tournament will be played according to FIDE rules of 9 rounds of Swiss system and will
be valid for FIDE rating. Time control is 90 minutes plus 30 seconds increment for each move starting from the first move. The total prize fund of the main event and the blitz tournament is 5000 eur.
