The youngster Dimitrious Makridis is the winner of the Panhellenic Blitz Championship 2024. Born in 2007, the 17 years old Fide Master scored 9,5/11 against difficult opposition including GM Evgenios Ioannidis, FM Alexandros Papasimakopoulos, IM Panayotis Frendzas, etc.

In game 6 the score was draw again, and Hans Niemann won the classical part of the match 3,5-2,5.

After two rounds of the FIDE Women Grand Prix in Tbilisi, Stavroula Tsolakidou is in the lead with 1,5/ 2, sharing the first position with Bibisara Assaubayeva

From August 17th to 24th 2024, the Chess Federation of Central Serbia is organizing the 3rd
International Open Chess Championship of Central Serbia 2024 The tournament will be held at the “Marica” hotel at Nis, Republic of Serbia.

The tournament will be played according to FIDE rules of 9 rounds of Swiss system and will
be valid for FIDE rating. Time control is 90 minutes plus 30 seconds increment for each move starting from the first move. The total prize fund of the main event and the blitz tournament is 5000 eur.
