BASEL EASTER Festival 2023 – LIVE

The BASEL EASTER Festival 2023 – MASTER will take place from 06-10 April 2023 in Basel, Switzerland. The Master section of the tournament is only for players rated 2050 or higher. It will be 9-round Swiss system tournament with time control 90 minutes plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. This tournament has total prize fund of 5000 CHF.

The 2. Millennium-Normenturnier is a 10-player round-robin tournament held from the 3rd of April to the 10th in Rosenheim, Germany. Time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment beginning from move one.

2. Millennium Normenturnier

Ding Liren is happy with the food in Astana – World Chess Championship 2023

On April 6, the Chinese delegation arrived in Astana, Kazakhstan to prepare for the Nepo – Ding World Championship 2023 match. Chinese chess player, Ding Liren, tested the game tables, chairs, and chess sets at the venue, which will be held at the St. Regis Astana Hotel from April 7 to May 1. The opening ceremony will take place on April 7th, and the first game is scheduled to start on April 9th at 5:00 PM Beijing time.

European Senior Chess 2023 sets participation record

The European Senior Chess Championship 2023 will take place from May 25 to June 4 in Acqui Terme, Italy. The event will be played in two age categories: 50+ and 65+, with separate open and women’s sections. The organizing committee of European Senior Chess Championship 2023, announced the first 125 participants, which is a participation record.
