The event is dedicated to the 100th birth anniversary of chess grandmaster Paul Keres who was elected the Estonian Sportsman of the 20th Century.

Peter Svidler takes lead in FIDE World Cup final

Peter Svidler defeated his compatriot Sergey Karjakin in the first game of the 2015 FIDE World Chess Cup final that started today at the Fairmont Hotel in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Mikhail Chigorin Memorial 2015 LIVE!

The International Chess Festival “Mikhail Chigorin Memorial 2015″ is taking place from 2nd to 11th October at the Park Hotel in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The Russian Cup Stage will be played over nine rounds of Swiss system. The total prize fund is 1,800,000 RUB (approx 24,500 EUR). The first place is 320,000 RUB worth while the best woman will be awarded with 40,000 RUB.

European Youth Chess Championships 2015 – Winners

The 2015 European Youth Chess Championships were held from 20th September to 1st October, in the touristic town of Porec, situated on the western coast of Istrian Peninsula, Croatia.

The Championship was organized by the Croatian Chess Federation, under the auspices of the European Chess Union.
