The Ministry of Sport of Chile enthusiastically welcomed Cristóbal Henríquez back from Azerbaijan where he participated in the 2015 FIDE World Cup.

FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met the football king Pele at the exhibition “Pele. Art. Life. Football”, which was opened in London.

Russia Today TV Channel asked the FIDE President to interview Pele. Mr Ilyumzhinov asked Pele on his attitude to chess. Pele replied that he loves and respects chess, but does not play well.

Ilyumzhinov and Pele agreed to arrange a chess lesson in London on Thursday this week.
