Internacional Capablanca in Memoriam 2025 is going to take place 10-19 May in Cuba. It is the 58th edition of the traditional tournament and will feature Elite Group, Open, and Seniors Group.

The 8th International Chess Festival Paracin Open is 9-days long chess festival that will take place July 4-12 in Paracin, Serbia.

Paracin Chess Festival 2025 will have a total prize fund of 15.000 EUR and will consist of 4 events: International Open for players rated higher than 2100, International Open B for players rated lower than and equal to 2100, a rapid tournament 21st Memorial Rapid Tournament “Uros Dinis”, and Open blitz tournament.

The Ukrainian Grandmaster Sergey Fedorchuk is the winner of Freestyle Formentera Chess. Fedorchuk did a Magnus Carlsen and scored 9,0/9 at the event. Second place was for Valentin Dragnev with 8,0/9, third is CM Thomas Bauer with 6,5/9.

70th Annual Maryland Chess Open 2025 takes place May 2 – 4, 2025 in Rockville, Maryland. It is a classical tournament featuring GM Tal Baron, GM Jesse Kraai, GM Lawrence Kaufman, IM Tegshsuren Enkhbat, WIM Sahana Aravindakshan, FM Andrew Samuelson, WFM Aimee Yang among others.

Sheridan Wyoming Chess Open 2025 takes place Friday, May 2, 2025 – Sunday, May 4 in USA. It is an open tournament with Corrales Jimenez, Luk Budisavljevic, Alexande Fishbein, Sulliva Mcconnell, Eamon Montgomery, Griffin Mcconnell, Brian Wall, Richard Shtivelband, Rhett Langseth, Daniel Joelson, William Ale Aepli, etc.
