The Chessable company, part of the Play Magnus Group, last month started filming the street chess games played by some of the world’s top players. Anish Giri was first who joined the action and played chess against fans with Levon Aronian going for the same action some weeks after. Giri today published a video where he analyzes the game played on Barcelona’s streets against a Chess Hustler.

The French Individual Chess Championships 2022 will take place from 13-21 August in the city of Albi. A magnificent city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site will host the 95th edition of the French Individual Chess Championship after three years of pause caused by the pandemic of Covid19.

The 15th edition of the Paleochora International Chess Tournament takes place from 17-24 July in Paleochora, a city of the southwest Cretan coast. Paleochora School & Cultural Center of Paleochora will host the event which already has 200 entries from 26 countries, including 19 grandmasters and 15 international masters.
