The 44th Chess Olympiad 2022 takes place from 28th July – 10th August in Chennai, India, and 100 countries already registered for the event.

The 5th edition of the Sharjah Chess Masters international tournament will be held from 20th-30th May in Sharjah Cultural & Chess Club.

Two young rookie stars took centre stage as the elite Chessable Masters e-sports chess event kicked off today.

Today, May 19, 2022, is a historical day for Georgian chess. The Ministry of Education Mikhail Chkhenkeli has announced that starting with the next school year, chess will be a mandatory subject for first-grade students in the country. It will apply to all the 2,200 schools in Georgia, both public and private.
