2016 Chess Olympiad (U16) LIVE!

Chess Olympiad 2016NR Klub delegated by the Slovak Chess Federation organizes the 2016 World Chess Olympiad (Youth U16) in Poprad, Slovakia from July 21st to July 30. The tournament is a 9 round Swiss system with Chess Olympiad rules and regulations. Each match between teams will be conducted over 4 boards.

Biel Chess 2016 LIVE!

The 49th International Chess Festival Biel must unfortunately be postponed by a week. It will now take place from Saturday, July 23 until Wednesday, August 3 2016. The dates planned previously overlap with the Tour de France passing through Bern, thus occupying most of the hotels in the region for several days. The Master Open (MTO) will be played over 9 rounds this year.

Poikovsky chess 2016 LIVE!

Poikovsky chess 2016 aka Poikovsky – Anatoly Karpov tournament is going to take place July 23 – August 2 in Russia. Greek Grandmaster and champion Vasilios Kotronias is the winner of the Aegean Open Championship “Ikaros 2016”. Kotronias collected 7,5 points in 9 games.

9th Paleochora Open

The 9th International Open Tournament of Paleochora is taking place from 20-27th July 2016, in Paleochora town, Crete.

The tournament is organized by the Municipality of Kantanos-Selino, Chania Chess Academy, Region of Chania and Greek Chess Federation.

The tournament format is 9-round Swiss and the playing venue is Paleochora Community Centre.

The total prize fund is 7000 EUR with 1800 reserved for the champion.
