Dinara Wagner is the sole leader of the German Individual Women Chess Championship. Wagner leads with perfect 4,0/4. Having started as the rating favorite of the event, Dinara Wagner is now in pole position at the German Championship, adding 13 elo points in the first four rounds.

Vincent Keymer is in a similar situation on the German Individual Open Chess Championship. Keymer has 4,0/4 and has gained 11 elo points.

The 8th Sharjah Masters, a prestigious 9-round Swiss chess tournament for players rated 2500+ Elo, is ongoing from May 17–26, 2025, at the Sharjah Cultural & Chess Club in the UAE.
