WGM Shrook Wafa achieved her fifth continental title at the Africa Women Chess Champion 2025. She finished 8,0/9 ahead of WIM Lina Nassr. Bilel Bellahcene is African Chess Champion 2025

Algerian Grandmaster Bilel Bellahcene is the continental champion of Africa for 2025. Bilel Bellahcene achieved 7,0/9, the same points as Ahmed Adly and Amin Bassem, but with a better tiebreak (average rating of opponents) won the gold medal.

18 year old IM Hamed Wafa finished clear fourth with 6,5/9 and is the top youngster of the event.
