New Delhi FIDE Women’s Grand Prix 2023 – LIVE

The New Delhi FIDE Women’s Grand Prix 2023 is taking place in New Delhi, from March 25 to April 5 2023. It forms the third of four stages of the 2022-23 FIDE Women’s Grand Prix, which will determine two places in the 2023 Candidates Tournament. 16 players compete in the series, each playing in three of the four events. Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one.

UK vs. Ukraine Solidarity Match 2023 – LIVE

An 8-game match in London between English no. 1 Mickey Adams and 2-time Ukrainian Champion Andrei Volokitin. The match is organised by Chess in Schools and Communities and will be held half in the Ukrainian Embassy and half in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The prize fund is $45,000. The time control is that each player has 100 minutes for 40 moves, then 50 minutes to the end of the game, with a 30-second increment from move 1.

20th Delhi Open 2023 – LIVE

The 20th Delhi Open 2023 is taking place from 23–30 March 2023 in New Delhi, India. Players receive 90 minutes for the entire game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. It is a 10-round Swiss tournament with participation of GM S.P.

European Women’s Individual Chess Championship 2023 opened yesterday in Petrovac, Montenegro!

The Opening ceremony of the event was attended by the ECU President Mr. Zurab Azmaiparashvili, ECU Honorary Vice President and the Vice President of the Montenegro Chess Federation Mr. Veselin Draskovic, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Montenegro Mr. Vasilije Lalosevic, who addressed the players and distinguished guests.

European Women’s Chess Championship 2023 – LIVE

The 23rd edition of the European Women’s Individual Chess Championship 2023 takes place from 17th-30th March in Hotel “Palas” Petrovac, Montenegro. The Championship will be played in 11 rounds, swiss system, with the time control of 90 minutes for 40 moves + 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds for every move starting from move 1.

Riyadh Calendar Chess Championship 2023 – LIVE

The Riyadh Calendar Chess Championship 2023 is taking place from 17–18 March 2023 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Players receive 15 minutes for the entire game, plus a 10-second increment starting from move one. It is a 9-round Swiss tournament with participation of GM Ahmed Adly, GM A.R. Saleh Salem, GM Bassem Amin, GM Hicham Hamdouchi, GM Mohd Al-Mudahka, GM Adham Fawzy, GM Bilel Bellahcene, IM Mohamed Tissir, IM Kamel Njili, etc.

Charlotte IM B 2023 – LIVE

The Charlotte IM B 2023 will take place from 15-19 March, 2023. The time control is 90 minutes and 30 seconds per move, starting from move one. The tournament format is 9-round robin.

In IM B section will participate GM Vladimir Georgiev, IM Tamas Petenyi, IM Olivier-Kenta Chiku-Ratte, FM Robby Adamson, FM Ryan Amburgy, FM Vishnu Vanapalli, Sudarshan Sriniaiyer, Jiangwei Yu, FM C.J. Arvind and James Le Nguyen.

The Charlotte IM A 2023 will take place from 15-19 March, 2023. The time control is 90 minutes and 30 seconds per move, starting from move one. The tournament format is 9-round robin.

The American Cup 2023 starts today

The American Cup 2023 is an 8-player double elimination knockout taking place from 16-26 March at the St. Louis Chess Club. The matches will be played over two classical (90min + 30s increment) games in the Champions and two rapid (25+10) games in the Elimination bracket. If tied, rapid (10+5) playoffs are held and, if still tied, an Armageddon game (5 vs 4 minutes, with draw odds for Black). In the end the winner of the Champions bracket will face the winner of the Elimination bracket.
