Serbia Chess Open 2022 LIVE

Serbian Chess Federation organizes the International Open Chess Championship of Serbia, called “Serbia OPEN 2022” from June 28th – July 6th. The event takes place in Novi Sad, Master Centre, with participation of 267 players in the Masters event (for players rated 2100+) and 133 players in the Amateurs event (for players rated U2200).

Malta to host FIDE World Amateur Chess Championships 2022

FIDE has announced the World Amateur Championships 2022 to be held in Malta from October 20-30 in the 4-star conference hotel “Paradise Bay Resort”. It will be one more major international event hosted by Malta recently, after the successful European Small Nations Team Championship in December 2021.

Fabiano Caruana: Nakamura gave me hope, which was torture in the end

Fabiano Caruana suffered a tough loss yesterday against Hikaru Nakamura. He was fighting to survive a completely lost position and it seemed that he had chances to escape.
