Malaysian Chess Masters is taking place June 18 – June 22 in Kuala Lumpur. The tournament has an open and women sections. Lichess will resume cooperation with Saint Louis Chess Club after positive changes, but will maintain its boycott on the US Chess Federation

Following the public statement issued by the Saint Louis Chess Club (STLCC) in October 2023, and after our own independent investigation, Lichess has decided to lift our boycott on STLCC.

The European Youth Team Chess Championship 2025 will take place from 4th July to 12th July in Terme Čatež, Slovenia. The event will include four separate competitions, an open competition and a girl’s competition in both age categories U12 and U18. Each national federation member of the European Chess Union (ECU) has the right to enter up to four (4) teams of four (4) players and one (1) reserve in the open competitions and up to four (4) teams of two (2) female players and one (1) reserve in the girl competitions.

After 4 rounds, CM Yuxu Zhou is the sole leader of Silver Lake Open 2025. The U16 young player has collected 3,5/4 and is half a point ahead of competition.

On June 16, the 2025 China-Africa Chess Friendship Tournament ended in Changsha, Hunan Province.

The 5th China Chess Rising Stars Tournament aka Rebecca Cup is taking place June 17 – June 22 in Jangsu Dongtai.
