French rapid and blitz chess championship LIVE

The French rapid and blitz chess championship is taking place 14-15 June in Saint-Maur, France. The rapid part will be 9 rounds Swiss played on June 14th, while the blitz will be 13 rounds Swiss played on June 15th. A total of 600 players have joined the event, with top seeded Alberto David, Laurent Fressinet, Maxime Lagarde, Paul Velten, Romain Edouard, Bilel Bellahcene, Pierre Laurent-Paoli, Augustin Droin, Mahel Boyer, Namig Guliyev, etc. Scroll down for the full participants list.

MGD1 leads FIDE World Rapid Teams after day 2

Team MGD1 is continues in the lead of the FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Teams 2025. After 8 rounds, MGD1 has collected 13 MP, the same result as Hexamind, but with a better tiebreak. MGD1 started with a draw vs Freedom, a win vs the rating favorites WR Chess, and a win vs Germany and Friends. European School Chess Championship – winners crowned

The European School Chess Championship 2025 took place from 29 May to 8 June at the Complex Amiral – Comandor – Orfeu in Mamaia, Romania. The event was played in six age categories: U7, U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17, open and girls sections separately, with the participation of more than 200 players coming from 14 European federations.

Team MGD1 is the sole leader of the FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Teams 2025. After 4 rounds, MGD1 is the only perfect team in the field, winning vs Mongolz, Barys.kz, Rishon LeZion Chess Club, and Uzbekistan.
