The Icelandic Chess Open is taking place June 15 – June 21 in Iceland.

Ian Nepomniachtchi was on the team roaster for WR Chess for the FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Team 2025. A few days before the start of the event, Nepo was declined entry visa for the UK and missed the rapid event, won by MGD1.

The 37th edition of the Pula Chess Open is taking place June 15 – June 23 in Pula, Croatia.
