Cesme Open 2025 – a massive chess tournament in Türkiye

Cesme Open is a massive chess tournament in Türkiye that takes place June 23 – June 29, 2025. There will be 233 players in the A group, 195 players in the B group, 387 players in the C group, and 380 players in the D group, for a total number of 1195 players in the event.

Goris Chess Open

The Chess Academy of Armenia and Syunik Chess Federation organise the 1st Goris Chess Open. The tournament will be held from 11-21 November 2025 in the picturesque town of Goris, Syunik Province.

The event will be played in two sections: Open A (for players rated 2000+) and Open B (for players rated U2000), featuring the total prize fund of 26,000 USD + special prizes from ChessMood and Chessify. Each tournament will be played in 9 rounds, swiss system, with the classical time control.

Icelandic Chess Federation celebrates its 100th anniversary

On the occasion, the President of the Icelandic Chess Federation Ms. Johanna Bjorg Johannsdottir and ECU Vice President Mr. Gunnar Bjornsson invited the ECU President Mr. Zurab Azmaiparashvili to attend the celebration ceremony and festival dedicated to the federation’s 100th anniversary.
