WCF Malta Rapid Challenge 2025 took place this weekend in La Valeta. It was a rapid competition, part of the WCF series. The Italian player Luca Magini was the surprise of the event, winning it ahead of the titled players. Magini finished with 6,0/9, the same points as Grandmaster Xavier Vila Gazquez (who recently won orneo de Ajedrez Vila de Santa Coloma de Queralt), but with a better tiebreak the Italian grabbed the gold.

Reinter Chess Open 2025 is going to take place June 6 – June 8 in Slovakia. It is a seven round Swiss tournament with a mix of young players and veterans. Participants include Ryszard Kasperek, Peter Smetana, Vladimir Verba, Juraj Fecko, Oleksii Dolhosh, Michal Fecilak, Dominik Kochan, Stefan Kovac, Matej Mizanin, Jakub Lakata, Peter Vrastiak, Filip Kordovan, Stefan Schichman, Kamil Haraj, Zoltan Fonos, Robert Kankula, etc.

Wei Yi vs Levon Aronian 2025 – Yallow Dance Cup

Yallow Dance Cup 2025 will take place July 1 – July 7 in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, China.
