The European Women’s Individual Chess Championship 2022 will be held from 19th August – 1st September in Prague, Czech Republic. The event will be played in 11 rounds, Swiss system, with a total prize fund of 60 000 eur.

The Winner of the Championship will pocket a money-prize of 8.000$. The time control of the event is: 40 moves in 90 minutes + 30 minutes for remainder of game with 30 second Fischer increment from move one.

The 2022 New York GM/IM Summer Invitational took place from 7-11 July at Hilton Garden Inn Midtown Park Ave, New York, featuring four 10-player round-robin tournaments for grandmasters and international masters norms. The line-up of the International master C tournament included the 11-year-old US star Tani Adewumi who became the National master at the age of 10.

The Grandmaster Triathlon (GMT) takes place 10-22 July at the Main stage of the Concert Hall, Biel Congress Center. The event is played in 3 round-robin sets with 28 games: 7 Classical games, 7 Rapid games (reversed colours), and 14 Blitz games (double round-robin). The 101st edition of the Irish National Chess Championship took place from 2-10 July in Dublin. The event was played in 9 rounds, swiss system, with participation of 25 players.

GM Kamil Dragun won the Grandmaster A tournament with 6.5/9 points. Dragun was the sole winner of the event half a point ahead of GM Durabek Khamrakulov who claimed silver with 6 points. GM Ante Saric was bronze with 5.5 points.
