European Senior Chess Championship 2022 LIVE

The European Senior Chess Championship 2022 takes place from 5-14 July in Arche Hotel Lublin. The event is played in two age categories: 50+ and 65+, with separate prizes for female players. The total prize fund of the event is 6.000 EUR. 56 players from 15 European countries registered for the events which are played over 9 swiss rounds, with time control: 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds per move, starting from move one.

The 2022 Swiss Chess Championship takes place from 4-10 July, being played in 9 rounds, swiss system, with participation of 68 players. The field is led by GM Milos Pavlovic, IM Fabian Baenziger and GM Joseph Gallagher. The time control of the event is 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game, plus 30 seconds per move from the first move.

IM Gunay Mammadzada wins Bydgoszcz Fundacja Orlen WGM 2022

The Bydgoszcz Fundacja Orlen WGM tournament took place June 25-July 4, 2022, in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Ten world-class female players took part in the event which was played in 9 rounds, with the time control of 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting on move one. 

FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 – Closing Ceremony LIVE

The closing ceremony of the FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 takes place at 21:00 CEST in Madrid. The Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 will be officially declared closed soon, and Ian Nepomniachtchi will lift the Winner trophy.

Post-Candidates events in Madrid

All the games of the FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 have finished, but the event is not officially closed yet. The Closing Ceremony will take place today at 21:00 CET.
