Festival di Primavera 2023

The Festival di Primavera 2023 is going to take place from 15-19 March in Bassano del Grappa, Italy. Players receive 90 minutes for play plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. The total prize fund of the Master Group is 4000 EUR with 1200 EUR reserved for the Winner of the event. The tournament is separated in 4 categories – Master Group (rating over 1800), open A (rating under 2100), Open B (rating under 1800) and open C (rating under 1500).

1000GM LA Spring Splash 2023

The 1000GM LA Spring Splash 2023 is going to take place from 17-21 March in Los Angelis, USA. Players receive 90 minutes for play plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. The total prize fund of the tournament is 30.000 USD with 10.000 USD reserved for the Winner of the event. 

Chessemy Open B-Open 2023

The Chessemy Open 2023 will take place as an A-Open (from 1800 ELO or on application) and B-Open (up to 1900 ELO) from March 4th to 12th, 2023 at the Hotel Forellenhof Walsrode, Germany. Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one.

In B-Open section are expected to participate Lothar Cordes, Carsten Goes, Christopher Steuer, Juergen Brandt, Detlef Krueger, Patrick Knicknie, Heinz-Guenther Dachrodt, Heinrich Cordsen, Kai Papenfuss, etc.

Chessemy Open B-Open 2023 – Live

The Chessemy Open B-Open 2023 is taking place from 4–12 March 2023 in Walsrode, Germany. Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. It is a 9-round Swiss tournament with participation of Lothar Cordes, Carsten Goes, Christopher Steuer, Juergen Brandt, Detlef Krueger, Patrick Knicknie, Heinz-Guenther Dachrodt, Heinrich Cordsen, Kai Papenfuss, etc.

The Seville Rapid Championship 2023 is taking place on 28 February 2023 in Seville, Spain. Players receive 8 minutes for the entire game, plus a 3-second increment starting from move one. It is a 7-round Swiss tournament with participation of Israel Cruz Rodriguez, Juan Carlos Ferrete Rueda, Cristian Silva Lucena, Ismael Diaz Castro, Santiago Garcia Jimenez, Juan Chacon Perez, Daniel ,Linan Molina, Fernando Lopez Rodriguez, Manuel Carrabeo Garcia, etc.

Arab Women’s Championship 2023 – LIVE

The Arab Women’s Championship 2023 is taking place from 26 February to 5 March 2023 in Khartoum, Sudan. Players receive 90 minutes for the entire game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. It is a 9-round Swiss tournament with participation of Roula Mahmoud, Ahmad Anood, Rahaf Faqeeh, Gadalla Karar Sara, Sabrina Latreche, Lina Nassr, Alshaeby Boshra, Manar Khalil, Wafia Darwish Al Maamari, S. Levon Aronian wins WR Chess Masters

Levon Aronian has won the WR Chess Masters. After Aronian, Gukesh and Ian Nepomniachtchi were tied with 5.5/9 each at the end of the regular distance of nine rounds, Aronian won the tiebreak. He was very happy about the victory, Aronian said. He thanked host Wadim Rosenstein for an excellently organized tournament and the exceptionally good conditions in Düsseldorf, where he had “felt the respect for the players” every day.
